Restoration of Oil Wagon L759 has now commenced. Our volunteers have been busy welding and re-attaching pipes and handrails that were removed for transport. We still have a few bits to repair and straighten, but the bulk of the metal repairs are now complete.
In a few weeks, this wagon will be completely transformed as we use a dustless blasting process to remove the rust, corrosion and old paint before getting it’s first coat of primer. This is a really exciting process and we can’t to see the result.
