More progress in the yard today as the team finished installation of more replacement sleepers, serviced the points to the loco and carriage roads and the catch points on the through road. We then started to cleanup the splintered remains of sleepers that have been removed over the past few months.
It’s a big job, but the team are doing some great work and we’re making some good progress. It’s also great to see some of the amazing mechanical engineering in action with the signal and interlocking system.
(and yes, we know that we weren’t using a rag and we do need to polish our lever handles 😎)
