Being a volunteer run organisation, we are always looking for ways to make the most out of the limited resources we have, so we were super excited when the incredibly talented Ben from Tightwad Workshop reached out to share his skills and build us a set of produce display stands.
By repairing, rebuilding and recycling, Tightwad Workshop is a master in working with what you have and “getting things done without spending a lot of money”, an ethos that is close to our own hearts.
We were super excited when Ben arrived in Cooma with the finished products (which were amazing) and it was great to be able to learn about the process through the video series on the Tightwad Workshop YouTube Channel. Make sure you check out the “DIY Farmer’s Market Display Stands” video (including a potentially rigged chalk drawing competition) at:
In addition to our market stall, you’ll soon be able to see these stands taking pride of place at Cooma Railway Station every week, filled with amazing local products for sale from the across the Monaro.
Make sure you take a minute to check out some of the amazing projects on the Tightwad Workshop YouTube channel:

We can’t wait to collaborate again soon!
